A relatively early meter from the Postalia Co. As you may or may not know, Postalia (now Francotyp-Postalia or FP) was a German company that only was authorized to market meters in the US beginning in the early 1960's (1961, I believe). While this is far from the earliest example, it is the earliest one I have in my collection dating back to 1966:
