KGV Collector,

And since than till today you are the proud owner of your own stamp table

I thought you were going to say 'And since than till today you are the proud owner of your own galvanised bucket'

The welcome sound of the letterbox opening - waiting for the thud of a heavy packet of stamps on the floor - instead hearing a SPLASH...

rileysan: "I ran out of postage, so I used one of the stamps you just purchased. I hope you don't mind?!?"

When my late mother was staying with me for a while, I left a couple of newly purchased booklets where I should not have. One morning she handed me some mail addressed to Germany, to post for her. I was shocked -- shocked, I tell you -- to see she had used two stamps from my US Space Exploration booklet.

At that, it was still underfranked. Good ol' Mom never knew how much postage was required. She just added stamps (any stamps, 1c, 5c, 85c) until it looked right.

You've seen the movie.

On seeing my collection of covers, my husband often says they take up so much space so why don't I just tear off the corners? And he's not joking!!

Thanks, Puzzler. And, yes I saw the rule immediately after posting, but I don't see a way to edit my posts, so I just reported my post to the Admin with an apology. : - )

Being a dog owner, this has always frightened me:

"Honey, I just washed the dog and she is still pretty wet.
You may want to close the door to your stamp collecting room"

(Man, those wet dogs can really shake up a storm, can't they?)
