I find it very difficult to see the "Secret Mark" in the
lower part of the upper left triangle. The paper is very soft,
but I don't know how to check for "porous". Any help
would be appreciated.

I believe the A51 you refer to is of the diagram in the Scott's specialized catalog of the stamps top frame diagnostics. Don't confuse the picture number with the actual Scott number.

Thanks for the identification. I was deliberately using
the Specialized Scott picture number, but now know what the
Scott catalog number is. Thanks for the help.

The right stamp could be a 163 on vertical ribbed paper. Try posting a scan of the back of both stamps. I have found that scanning against a flat black background provides better images.

Thanks for assisting Sinclair. The scan is shown below,
but I can't see any ribbing. I will continue to scan
with a black background, as it does show things much better.

I don't see anything either I guess. Light shown at an oblique angle is supposed to be best at making the ribs stand out. I don't have one so I can't try it. The only other thing I will say is the paper doesn't look like soft porous paper to me.
