I shared a link with Spanishmoss recently, as she does a lot of stamp collecting eduction with scouts and other young people. She suggested that a thread to share educational materials would be useful. General stamp education is likely to be of interest to many collectors, not just the kids!
So I will kick off with the link I shared with her, from the British Postal Museum website. A history of the first penny postal service in the UK, and the Penny Black, aimed at schoolchildren.

And here's one from you-tube about the printing processes involved in producing modern self-adhesive stamps.

Great idea Stampgal.

I'll try and add a few at the weekend.

Thanks for starting this, Stampgal.

Here's a link to a program I'm working on:

http://americantopicalassn.org/tidbits.shtml

It is a bimonthly newsletter sponsored by the American
Topical Association. The first issue was on penguins
and the second issue was all about fun foods like
popcorn, chocolate, and icecream.
The upcoming issue will be on world travel.
