I had the pleasure of sitting in on the GPS' regional meeting yesterday during the Portland International Philatelic Exhibition (PIPEX). There are not many members here in the Pacific NW, but the current president of the club, Jim Graue is from nearby Washington State.

The meeting was short, but I spent hours talking with Jim, followed up with a personal tour of his award-winning ten frame exhibit of the 1934 Germany airmail issue (including 2 Hindenburg crash covers).

Jim is an amazing wealth of knowledge with more than 30 years of German collecting experience.

If you're within driving distance, I highly recommend you pay a visit to PIPEX today for his presentation on German 'Katapult' mail at 1pm.

Cheers!

Brian
