Hello all,
I would like to know the scott number and scott catalogue value of these internal revenue stamps. I have about 45, some are blank, but most are cancelled in red ink. All of them are still affixed to cut paper rectangles that look like this. Thanks so much any information is greatly appreciated.

Those are Scott # R14 issued 1875 -78. They were un-watermarked until 1878 when wmk 191R (double line USIR) was used. They come perforated or rouletted. Also on silk paper. I'm sure in your stack of 45 you have a number of varieties.

For interests sake, here's mine (I only have the one). It has a watermark.

The image of course is Lady Liberty.

Actually, the Scott number is either "R152a" or "R152b" depending on the watermark

The 2011 catalog values for the perforated variety, R152a (silk) and R152b (watermarked), were $0.45 and $0.35, respectively. If you have any that are rouletted 6 (R152c), they were listed at $32.50.
