What can SCF members tell me about stamps from this "country"? Does anyone really collect stamps from this location?

Do stamps from this country ever see legitimate postal use at their denominated value or are they just sold to collectors? Linn's also lists them as being a stamp-issuing country since the late 1970's.

According to Wiki, it is a private island with a year-round population of only about 500.

I'm also questioning it because of the information contained at this link suggesting that there is even a less likelihood that the stamps ever see legitimate postal use and it has even been suggested that most items issued from this country are "invalid right from the start":

http://home.arcor.de/gert.bundesman...mustique.htm

What has prompted this question in the first place is the fact that Mystic Stamp Company is promoting Mustique stamps and souvenir sheets with subjects such as the Titanic, Prince William & Kate Royal Engagement, etc.

Is it just a profit-making scheme that Mystic is attempting to sell these items to collectors?

I'm not sure why they would they even need Postage Stamps there, but apparently they have been issuing Stamps since around 2005. Here is one.

Mustique is part of the independent country of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It is one of the Grenadine islands to the south of Saint Vincent. It should be using St. Vincent stamps as it has no special political status.

The stamps are marketed to topical collectors who for some unknown reason buy them.

From what I have heard, approximately zero to none of the stamps are sold on Mustique.
