Hi there,

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I am a relative new returnee to the hobby and have spent the last two years catching up with all the stuff I missed between my schoolboy collecting days and now.

The collection is primarily focused on two areas, the stamps of Barbados and GB. With GB I am going for a standard 'One Country Album' collection but have a far more extensive FDC collection. For Barbados it is a very specialised collection with as many variations of the stamps as I can get as well as all the normal issues. I am complete bar a couple of specials from 1925 to date but am missing about 30 FDC's over this period.

I have loads of surplus Barbados stock so if anyone is looking for anything please feel free to ask and maybe we can swap?

Thanks,

Jon

Thanks tstraz and Jeff, I'll do my best to add to the contribution of philatelic knowledge on here, although I fear that my ignorance may at first outweigh my input!

Jeff, once I've got my 50 posts under my belt I'll tell you about my website which I've set up as an information resource - I try to add to it when I can but there's always too little time these days! And yes, I'd love to trade Barbados as Mrs JonEBoy bemoans the amount of space this little hobby takes up! I keep telling her it could be worse, I could be off chasing lose women but that argument's not making much headway these days. The latest batch of 130 GB FDC's arrived this week and I could see she wan't impressed!

hello JonEBay, welcome!

The UK has some nice FDCs, any special painted ones? Those would be nice to see anywhere.

Is there much specialized literature available for Barbados? I am totally out of water there, ha. I did some Bermuda a while back and learned as I went.
