I know very little about US stamps.
I cut both (filipo's and stallzers)and toggled,
each stamp has the black dot here...
does that mean anything?
Seems a forgery wouldn't include that?

If that is a forgery, that is some darned good try.
The text/font is very near identical given the distubance by
pmks and handling.

It's most likely a 36b because of the broken frame-lines. I bought it as a straight up #36 and dirt cheap because of centering. Oh well.
