K.P.P.C.//Co. = KEM Plastic Playing Card Company.

Here's a brief history of the company:

Thanks wt.

So if it's a real complany, does anyone know why the stamp is not listed in the PSS T&T Catalog? Is it a fake? Or is that list just not exhaustive?

Thanks again.

The PSS Bureau catalog only lists playing card precancels that were applied at the bureau in Washington DC during the printing process. There are many other precancels applied at the local card manufacturing plants that are not listed. As far as I know there is no catalog that attempts to list all the local RF's. The KPPC Co cancel is a very common local. The bureau RF's only come on playing card coils, so any fully perf'ed RF's must be locals.

Thanks - I didn't even realize It meant anything that I was in the Bureau catalog. I know so little about playing cards it never occurred to me that they wouldn't all be Local (I just assumed they were all printed by the card company and listed in the Bureau catalog for simplicity. )
