It does appear the MLB 4 Player Uncut Press Sheet has been dropped from USPS/Shop and there is already a disgruntled customer who has posted on USPS Facebook his displeasure in learning that the Press Sheet was sold out asking, in essence, how can an item be sold out more than a month before it's release?
It's going to be interesting to see if the USPS keeps to their limited edition of 1000 or relents to public pressure to print more of them to meet demand.
Only time will tell.

My credit card has not been charged yet.
So, one sheet at $54 is 120 stamps. I split the sheet with someone, so there are 60 stamps available to me. Since it's a se-tenant, there should be 15 total se-tenants available to me. I want to keep 2, maybe 3. That leaves 12 se-tenants that might be available to SCF members.
This, of course, assumes that Scott lists the imperf se-tenant and that I don't have any cutting errors on the stamp sheets.
We shall see. When I am ready to share with the masses, I'll post a thread in the items you want to sell forums. Please don't ask here or now. I don't want to violate forums rules and get this thread banned. |

Wow, glad I ordered one! We'll see if "demand" causes them to issue more. |

Because the sheets are laid out 5 x 4 stamps, each "pane" of 20 only yields four blocks plus four singles, not five blocks.
A note from Scott on past se-tenant blocks -- make sure you separate them in "Scott order," i.e., with the lowest Scott number at upper left.
Blocks in other configurations (which don't match printed album illustrations) invariably bring lower prices, and this problem is totally preventable. |

Wow, they have completely taken down the page for the se-tenant uncut press sheet. It doesn't say sold out any more. If you search for the item number and click on the link, you get this: Perhaps there really only will be a 1000 sheets made. |

The lack of response by the USPS on this entire issue (or mess of an issue) is deafening.
They limit the 4 Player Press Sheets to 1000 and then for the individual player Press Sheets to 2500, but there is only obscure references to those limited quantities on the USPS web site. Then they sell out of the 4 Player Press Sheets and rather than clearly list the item with a reference to it as being "sold out" they remove the item completely, only raising more questions by collectors.
The USPS also has their Facebook forum where they refer to all kinds of details on new stamp issues, etc., yet no one mentions the sell out of the 4 Player Press Sheets, almost as if they don't want to announce that information.
I'm now waiting to see just how long the Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio press sheets (two of the four most popular players according to a recent media announcement) stay on sale before their limited press run of 2500 is met.
I'm still very wary of what the future is to hold for these items. Either the USPS is going to have a lot of disgruntled collectors who will claim that the pre-ordering of these items was only announced to a very limited audience (i.e. stamp collectors, etc.) rather than giving it attention in the general media or the USPS is going to go back on their word and issue more of these press sheets to meet collector demand (and increase USPS revenue for the items), which will make those who pre-ordered the Press Sheets very unhappy, as additional quantities will mean lower value for the items on the secondary market.
It seems to me the USPS is going to have "egg on their face" no matter what they decide, as they have gotten way too greedy on marketing these Press Sheets as a "collectible" when, in fact, it was really marketed as a revenue booster for the USPS's bottom line. |

I went to my local stamp store for the first time since the hip surgery yesterday, and the owner there knew nothing about the sheets going up for pre-order. He was rather annoyed he missed his chance to buy the sheets. |

As far as USPS "going back on their word" they also said "Order by August 31 to guarantee product availability." if a stamp dealer didn't know about the pre-order, how were mere mortals supposed to know. This sounds more and more like insider trading !! |
