Is there an online resource that can provide stamp sizes. I know the standard sizes like 40x25, etc. But what about sizes like the Baltimore Checkerspot? Is there any place that lists stamp sizes in mm?

That's funny. I just finished replying on the other thread, and I was going to go back and suggest you start putting together a list of sizes!

You can try this source. It suggests that the Butterfly stamps are Showgard Size #31:

BTW, did you see that Amos is currently offering a 10% discount on stamp mounts (e-mail just came out today).

I did! And I am a big fan of Scott mounts. I believe there is free shipping also! Need to sit down and see what I need. I definitely mounts for the civil war sheets, so there is one I can cross off the list.

Sadly, the #31 doesn't tell me all that much, since that's a strip. I'm missing the width info. On the plus side, it does look square, so a 31mmx31mm box would probably fit the bill. It's always best to have the stamp in the mount to make sure it all lines up correctly...

It would be a bit tedious, but you could always get the information from the Postal Bulletin listing for the stamp issue which provides technical specification. Here's the information for the Baltimore Checkerspot:

When creating your album pages, is your outline box the exact size of the stamp or slightly larger/smaller?

I make it 10mm larger in both directions to account for the mount.
