So, I made a spreadsheet of current USPS issues as detailed in the Postal Bulletin. I have included name, date of issue, size, and a description taken from the postal bulletin and modified to work as a description in a stamp album.

It's in a Google Docs spreadsheet. Hopefully someone will find it useful. Feel free to edit and add to it.

Are the dimensions HxW or WxH?

Looks good as a work in progress, however, I think:

1. Denominations should be added.

2. Also, some of the definitives listed were issued in various formats (i.e. Aloha Shirts, Four Flags, etc.) are in booklets and coil formats with different Scott catalog numbers.

3. Some of the booklets were printed by more than one printer, resulting in not only different perforations, but different stamp sizes (and different Scott Catalog numbers).

Yeah, it's going to need some cleanup. Sizes are in WxH. The two different Aloha Shirts and Flag stamp are in there under different lines for now. As for the microprint, I'll need to find someplace to look that up.

The. Family was watching The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I had seen it already, so I just typed my way through it.

Ok, anyone with the link has rights to edit the spreadsheet, so if you want to make a change, get cracking!

I'll add catalog numbers later tonight.

Nice spreadsheet! The descriptions are very nice addition.

I was watching you add the denominations and I have a suggestion. You can select the column, then press the $ icon on the toolbar and then all numbers in the column becomes currency. For example, type 85 in an empty cell and you get $0.85. A little less work.

Like I said. Anyone with the link can edit it. Hop in and change it. If someone doesn't like it, they'll change it back. That's one of the nice things about Google Docs: open collaboration.

I added two columns.

First column with Scott Catalog Nos. (announced to date).

Second column with Denom. (I used separate field in case you didn't like it, you can delete it) but I put denominations in parenthesis when they are non-denominated stamps; in "$x.xx" format when they are denominated stamps. You can't just identify stamps as "Forever" stamps, as the first issue of 2012 was in the 44c denomination, and the balance in the 45c denomination, because of a postal rate increase.

You can easily expand on each of the multiple Scott Nos. to identify each stamp in a block or strip of stamp issues to describe each one individually, but that would take some time to type out, so I didn;'t bother to do it.

Thanks for the additions! Hopefully Amos legal won't hunt us down. I'm going to try and add to it today. Got some housecleaning to do first...

Great job on the spreadsheet for 2012 stamps; lots of useful info in one place. I'm looking forward to your release of years 1847 thru 2011 in the same format. Can't wait!

Well, I'll try and work my way backwards, but that's a HUGE undertaking. The Scott numbers may get me in trouble with Scott's legal department. We'll see how it goes. I do have a wife and 2 small kids, so we'll see how much time I have available to work backwards.
