Found my own answer. The USPS uncut press sheets for the baseball legends are the first ones that don't have die cuts, causing all the stamps to be imperforate. |

Thanks for the tip. I ordered some of these. As "forever" stamps, they will always be worth at least what I paid for them. When I am able to start selling here, I will use a block on each parcel that requires $1.80 postage or more (after they're issued, July 20). |

Someone has mentioned on another stamp collecting website that the USPS has issued an announcement to previous buyers of Press Sheets advising that ALL COMMEMORATIVE ISSUES will now be available in press sheet formats and the USPS is providing a subscription program for them, presumably to enhance revenue to the USPS from the philatelic community.
The concern seems to be that there is no way to know of their limited (or unlimited) availability, and it is assumed that subscribers would get preferential treatment in prioritizing the distribution of what press sheets are available for the various issues. No comment has been made as to whether any future press sheets will be available imperforate, though. There is also concern that the press sheets sent from the USPS arrive in a rolled package, which is not desirable for philatelic storage, so there again, more money will have to be spent by collectors in providing oversized albums and/or page protectors for long term storage needs of these collectibles.
As for me, I have no interest in press sheets and will not collect them, so it really doesn't affect me ... but for those who will make this a collecting discipline, the budget to collect these things will easily reach a new high in cost. |

Seems almost like a "legal" Farley's Follies episode to some extent. The making of varieties is, in my opinion, unscrupulous and seems to be just to soak collectors.

Uncut press sheets have been available for a while. The question is, will these uncut press sheets be die cut or not? If they're die-cut, it doesn't matter, since they'll have the same Scott number. If they're not going to have die-cuts, then we run into imperforate stamps that will have their own Scott numbers.
If this happens, it may be time to give up on US collecting. They're making it WAY TOO DIFFICULT to collect US stamps. |

It looks like they just made it easier for you!
Purple Heart, USS Constitution, Earthscapes, and two Xmas issues are all available imperf.
No more Farley Follies with gutter pairs. Now we just need imperf pairs or se-tenant blocks. |

The Earthscape imperf press sheet was a complete surprise to me. I thought I had everything covered with previous purchases. Anybody have a pane of it that they'd be willing to part with? |
