I ended up with 2 complete sets of Prexies, all mint except for the $5 stamp.

One was mounted up nice and neat in the album, and the other was just doubled up in the album on a black/clear page.

Well, I realized I had a decent frame and a spare Scott album page for the Prexies.

BAM! Put it all together, and added some period correct air mails, and it turned out pretty good!
It's on the wall next to my bed. Displays nicely.

Sorry for the cell pic, that's all I got, and I didn't get the whole picture frame in the shot, but you get the idea.

Edit:
I have been having trouble getting the pic to work.
Can it be seen now?

The best thing to do with an extra set would be to send them to me for safe storage :) Sadly, that is one set I have yet to purchase. Great looking page !

A word of caution about displaying stamps "on the wall."

If sunlight can hit them, they will fade BADLY within six months.

If you happen to have fluorescent lights in that area, they will fade
and change color in two months.

Doug,
Good info. I was worried about that.
Duly noted.
Only well filtered light gets into that room.
I might only display them occasionally.

Ratio,
What are the bottom 2 stamps left and right. Are they part of this series?

Interestingly enough, my wife's grandfather had a framed set of Prexies on the wall for 50 + years. He was not a collector. (When he died, the family was of course convinced that it was worth a fortune, but that is another story)

A chance to show off your knowledge...

What are prexies?

I know they will be stamps of course but that is all I know,

Yorkshire,
Prexies is slang for presidents. In this case it is a series of USA presidents. This series is a favorite amongst USA collectors and myself.

raywrio:
The stamps at the bottom that look a little out of place are air mails from the same time as the Prexies.
The bottom looked a bit bare without something there, but it looks a bit crowded with the air mails there.
I am on the fence as to which looks better. I just wanted to fill the bare spot with period correct stamps.

Yorkshire:
The series ran from 1938 to 1954, and was a
'regular issue', as opposed to a commemorative.

Yep! Just like your Machins. Definitive as opposed to a commemorative issue.
