In my last purchase I came across these #755s. I know they are apart of farley's follies, which is of special interest to me. I know that you can collect "gutter pairs" and things like that but I have no idea what those are and what they look like. Some day I would like to get a specialized album for farley's follies.

As for these stamps, what should I do with them? I never feel safe cutting them apart, so I figured I would ask the experts

Hi 68W,

Personally, I would keep them as they are, if for no other reason than they would break up the monotony of an album page mounted as is.

Nice wide-margin pair. Will make a nice counterpoint to gutter pairs when you start on them. I'd leave it as is.

I think I will just hang on to it. It should fit into my Farley collection when I start it.

So the correct term for this is a "wide margin pair"?

It's a margin pair. Use of the term "wide" is optional. I just put the hyphen in the wrong place. Nice pair though. Shows the far edge of the printing plate (where the line of color ends).

There is just so much you can do with these (Farleys). They are cheap and they come in so many variations that you can have a lot of fun.

As I mentioned above, I plan on getting a specialized album just for Farleys. But that is after I'm satisfied with my current album. Come to think of it, I don't think I will ever be done collecting stamps.
