Hello guys here I have some proof stamps that I came across in a large collection of stamps given to me by my nan and grandad.

Just a thought, but is it possible those are cut from postal cards, rather than being proofs?

i would have no idea I cant even find a stamp that looks identical maybe they are trail dies my nan has had them for a long time and she is moving house and does not have the room for alot of things she has collected over the years

so how would you tell between a proof stamp and one of a postcard because they are both stamped on card ?
even trail dies were stamed on card

Years of experience, collecting stamps and postal history, and from reference books when personal knowledge is lacking.

These are all postal stationery cut-outs and, as such, uncollectable and so worthless.

They may not be worth very much but are still collectible worth sticking into your stock book. Always nice to have some material with a family connection.
Some people have really cool collections of stationary its all part of postal history .Some stamp collectors look down at them
