Hello friend!

Because the stamps they have different bars of phosphor, fluorescents, etc., you need a ultraviolet lamp for can see the varieties.

There are various paper types used.
The adminware site is very useful foe Machin info http://www.adminware.ca/machin/m_dec.htm

241079, add the word Machin to your title by editing your first post and that will attract the Machin experts hopefully.

I am not a Machin expert or collector but they are fascinating and because there are so many they pop up everywhere it seems.

I had a look at the Adminware excellent site but could not see any references to why the colours would change. perhaps it is because of the different printings at different times for both of these sheet stamps?

I would think the phosphor bands (or fluorescent bands) would only change the colours underneath the bands themselves. the Queen's head has to be a different printing.
