Not rare by any means, but nice well-centered jumbo margins, and a scratched plate at right (unlisted in Scott).

Nice one indeed. I wonder, why are the areas around the portrait and the numerals (5) filled in, or at least partially filled in with black ink? It looks as if those areas were targeted deliberately.

I think it was most likely just a case of heavy inking.

Bingo. Overinked plate.

Here's another overinked plate (different source than the stamp above) resulting in a deep dark shade of color one rarely encounters in this type.

Now if only the top margin matched the other 3... still, in my opinion, quite a striking effect.

I have an example of another over inked revenue stamp, seems to be the norm for these. The ink looks to extend all the way towards the perforations.

Sorry revenue collector, we got off track! Your revenue stamp has some of the best centering I have ever seen. May be worth having graded wouldn't it?

Not worth the expense. For the most part, the revenue-collecting population eschews grading. There are some new-to-the-field collectors with deep pockets that seem to go gaga over graded stamps, but for the most part no.
