thanks for that ! Are you sure that it is Hess ? No offence intended ! Also is there a lot of value in a postcard such as this ? the reverse carries a general government 3 zlott stamp with a swastika postmark . it is addressed to karl hennig in hamburg

And just for the record, Mussolini's (self-appointed) title was Il Duce -- IL not EL and the capitalization is important.

That's not Hess. Its Franz Ritter von Epp, Reichsstatthalter (Governor) of Bavaria under the Nazis.

General Gouvernment Official 3 Zlott (1940) Mi#14 on cover 2005 CV= 90 Eur., used 5.50 Eur. But that`s catalogue value. No idea of market value, but postcards from that era and region would sell at around 20$ on ebay(guess??).
