I went to the annual Ottawa Fall Stamp Fair, to-day. It was held in a hall at the Travelodge Hotel, near me.

There were seven dealers there. It's a small affair. I picked up two blocks of four, used, for my U.S. airmail collection, a packet of 100 glassine interleaving for a 3-ringed binder (for only $2.50!!), and three covers. One cover is from South Africa with blocks of four of the 1947 Royal Visit issue (they'll be soaked off), one was a ppostal card from India, with a common KGVI stamp with a coloured-bar marginal marking (it too, will be soaked off), and a nice postcard from East Germany with a beautiful pictorial cancel.

The East German post card is going to Bobggggg.

All in all... lots of fun for $10 and one hour.... and I had a nice visit with a few of the guys from the stamp club.

David

David...Not bad for ten bucks, I also find the small shows, held
at these hotels to be very good.
