A nice cancel always had value to a cover. Did a search for L.M. Newcomb and found this

These covers are beautiful and can be valuable for some collectors. They are to me. Thanks for showing. Daniel

The second cover, postmarked Fortress Monroe, VA, is a discontinued post office, the post office being active only from 1880-1941.

Thanks, I put them up on e-Bay; which I hate doing and feel as if I made an uneducated error. I need to buy about 10k mounts for my collection...If you're interested I have a myriad of other artistic covers/postal History you might want to peek at.

Best, Jeff

Welcome to the forum jshallow

Those are nice covers that you scanned.

The best part of the value in them is because they are Advertising Covers (adverts). Usually, the more fancier and older these covers are, the more they are in $$ - usaully anyway
