Can't find this in the US specialized. Lists 1934-40 and 1942 but not 1941. It's value is 40 4/5 cents.

Anyone know where I can find it?

According to my Scott' Specialized stamps RE108-RE145, though listed under 1942, are inscribed 'Series of 1941'.
Can you post an image of the stamp in question?

I think you're probably looking at Scott No. RE190. Although the stamp is noted to have been issued 1951-54, and are further noted to be "Types of 1942-49", the design RE6 reverts back to the illustration that is imprinted "Series of 1941".

If this illustration is the stamp in question it is an RE190:

It reverts because the basic design was used for all the values under $1. The values were offset printed, just as the values for the last Postage Due set J88-J104. There was also one design for values $1 and over, created the same way.
