sort of cool for what it is. It begs the question though; Is this considered a true E.F.O. or just simply a case of terrible centering? Either way I find it loveable. I'm partial to what I call the classic era "train-wrecks"

Hi ILS,

Before I bought it, I sent you a link to it. Thought you might like it. There are 3 similar on Bidstart going for about $60. This one was only 6 dollars. I can't help loving it because it's a Black Jack. Besides, I love the odd and unusual.

Jeff,

Per the definition below (from the U.S. Stamp Society's Glossary), misperfs such as this fall into the freak category.

Zipper,

I completely agree. How can anyone not love a Black Jack?

Steve

*Freak - a mistake in production caused by an unusual circumstance not likely to be identically repeated, such as a color shift, perforation shift, inking irregularity or paper fold. A freak is a less severe and less valuable mistake than an error.

I suspected it was a freak, but because I'm surrounded by experts here, I stuck with the safe misperf.

That is called a "double perf" I think. As you can see, it has a double row perforations. I don't know if it is known as a misperf, though.
