I am looking for a cover for my Cardiology on Stamps topical that I am sure someone from the United States can help me with. One of the people honoured in my collection is the American cardiologist, Dr. Paul Dudley White. He was honoured on a 3¢ Great Americans definitive, in the 1980s.
Dr. White was a pioneer in preventative cardiac care. He was the founder of the American Heart Association, and he was the first cardiologist to publicly encourage Americans to become "heart healthy", by watching their diets and exercising more.
He is best remembered by older Americans, as President Eisenhower's cardiologist, when the President had a heart attack.
Here's what I am looking for. I need a cover with a slogan cancel "Give To The Heart Fund", or something along those lines. BUT... I need the stamp(s) on the cover, hit by a heart-themed slogan cancellation, either one of the Eisenhower definitives, or the commemorative stamp honouring the late President.
Check your common covers!
If you have anything like this, please contact me with an offer to purchase, trade, etc.
