Here is a cover with Scott 182, the 1879 one cent American Bank Note Issue in what is apparently the gray blue shade. It bears an interesting oval cancel that says New York CR. While US Railroad Post Offices are circular, old German RPO's (Bahnpost) are oval, so my thinking is that this is an early New York Central Railroad RPO and am wondering if someone with more specialized knowledge of early US postal history or RPO's can confirm that as fact.
