Well I still have a flat with internet access! Cant wait to get back (on Sunday) to pick up my mail! It will be such great fun! With everyone calling me heir this and heir that, I figure I'm going to come into a big inheritance from Germany ,or I need a shave! Eins Swei Zuffa! (If you didn't know I'm in Germany but will be home soon had an emergency call to the Hofbrauhaus in Munchen stat)

The stamp is sound although the cover is a little beat up. I bought it online from a reputable APS member/dealer. Thank you Russ. Are you talking about the CDS or the US Airmail purple stamp? Thank you.

Great cover Jeff ! Jenny's on cover are always great additions to any US collection. Knowing Russ, he must be referring to the Pageant of Progress cancel.

The service mark Russ is referring to is the small letter "c" in the lower right hand corner. The frame of the slogan cancel is missing where the c is.

I didn't realize before that Bellefonte, PA was actually a stop on the transcontinental airmail route from San Francisco to New York.

One of the more interesting aspects of this cover is that it is a true commerical cover and not a commerative or self mailed by a collector. Very nice find - thanks for sharing.

It appears to be in better shape than the images would suggest. He must have really been tweaking the shading and highlights on those.
