Hi everybody , thanks for having me :)
Im jake in Pa but from Scotland,Glasgow of late.Im always asked what the nickname means so ill say up front.
What is Glasgow famous for - rain
I had to make up a nickname one wet afternoon and id been soaked twice that day.So I got my internet nickname.
Ive been here a year this week and just got this neat new computer , why not educate myself I thought.
Recently I was given a very old stamp album with even older stamps inside from all over the world. It was so interesting looking through them , a real history lesson in pictures and it raised a few smiles and surprised me too on several occasions.
I'll try and not be too much of a pest asking questions , im happy to do research and thought it better to join and participate rather than lurk and read silently.
Winter not so far away its a good time to hit the books and learn about this stamp album of mine.

No real favorites but if I had to choose id have to say some of the more historical pictorial stamps I like best.Other interesting ones are countries that no longer exist and I hadnt even heard of.
They are all pretty cool and im sure they hold some surprises for me.

Ooops edited to say , thanks for the welcome.

Wet Glaswegien

What a lot of fun to go through an old album, eh?

Ask the questions, you'll get the answers.

Cheers!

David
