1st. stamp is probably #411, Flat Plate (18.5mm-19mm x 22mm for stamp design), single line watermark, Perforation 8-1/2. Straight Edge to Straight edge should measure 21.5mm at all points top to bottom. If it is perf. 8-1/2, can only be #411

2nd. stamp appears to be a type II. Appears to be Perforation 10 vert. Could be #454 or #491. #454: single line watermark, rotary press w/design measuring 19.5mm x 22mm or 18.5-19mm x 22.5mm depending upon how the plate was used on the press, straight edge to straight edge measuring 24.5mm-25.0mm along all points top to bottom. #491: unwatermarked, all other parameters same as for #454
Probably #454. #491 is more scarce.

3rd. stamp appears to be type II. Appears to be perf. 10 also.
Only type II 10-horizontal is #487.

I would say the second one is a #413. Using the scans for comparison and counting the perfs the top stamp is without doubt an 8.5 perforation, so the second stamp is also an 8.5 perforation. A perforation 10 stamp would have more than 10 perforations on the vertical side.

If Perf. 8-1/2, thats correct, it would be 413. Toga Rope and Button characteristics on 411 and 413 are similar to Type II.

What factors are you guys using to quickly determine a type II? as opposed to a type I?
