I collect Abe Lincoln and Route 66. I will include just about anything: stamps, postmarks, FDC, event cover, cachet, pictorial postmarks, towns, precancels.

My wife started a Disney collection a couple years ago and now has 4 binders at least.

I have decided to collect different shapes of stamps(triangle, diamond, etc.), airmails, FDC's, perfin's, PB's and maybe Woman's Suffrage/famous women...and maybe fancy or different cancels. Guess I following right behind Gussyboy!

So I got really excited when I came across these...

Now...where do I put them? In with my airmails or diamond shape-stamps??

Crazycat seems to like Oriental style flowers. She started her job last week, and I have been babysitting my granddaughter, so we haven't been on much.

Wow David, thanks. I just checked and I only have 10 stamps from Costa Rica right now, including my new airmails. What do you collect besides Costa Rica?

I would organize them by their scientific classification

LaSwabbie,
That has always seemed the best way to go to me too! I have thought of doing fish on stamps that way.

Fish would be excellent also t360. I'm getting closer to taking the plunge. I'm still thinking about how I could mount such a collection. Have you thought about it?

I would start with some blank pages (archival quality) and a binder.
As I started to accumulate stamps, I would begin a new page for each subgroup of the Order Coleoptera

Are you going to collect beetle stamps (mint and/or used) and covers?
Does the ATA have a list of beetle stamps to work off of?

The cats have not yet found a home. Do you know of anyone that can give them one?

Thanks rlorenz! I believe that I have several triangle and diamond. Most of what I have is used, I am not fussy. For some reason I just love the different shapes.

Tom, the ATA has insect lists (Vol. I through III) but nothing specific for beetles. They do have a group of "subject matter experts" that are available to help out. One of them might specialize in beetles.

I've been looking on ebay and elsewhere, though, and most of the beetle related mint stamps and souviner sheets seem to be realy high in price. It has me rethinking the whole thing. I may be better off just sticking with what I'm doing.

Rockinrobin, I still have an envelope of triangles set aside for you. Please email me your snail mail address and I'll ge them on the way.
