This precancel is up at ebay this week. Sure looks like a nickel stamp but its not. In the last edition of the PSS catalog the CV was raised from 20 cents to 200$. It is scarce, and because of the way the PSS categorizes 'towns', it is considered separate from Jacksonville. It is the only Florida town I need for my collection. Please, if you have interesting precancels, display them here - free appraisals.

Probably not so interesting, but I've had difficult trying to identify the correct precancel type shown here:

Doesn't seem to match any of the known precancel types for that town. Could it be an L-1 HS?

Since I lived in Jacksonville during the usage of the 4c Schurz, it's interesting to me too. What's the word under Jacksonville?

New Rochelle is L1-HS it has footnotes 3&4 so font and line spacing varieties exist on the same device.

The device looks like it`s the full width of the
stamp but there is no J. Is the J off the stamp
or is it missing?

I took a look at my Jacksonville precancels, and do not have the good Schurz. For posterity, here are the stamps I DO have.
