Hello,

I'm new to stamp collecting and have this stamp from someone's old collection. Can someone please tell me if it's worth anything? It looks pretty old. Thank you!

hi yes it worth money it looks like its a #30 from the scan, it looks
unused and the scott 2013 value is $1250 mnh $500 no gum,
but I would say its worth about 50-60% of that as it is not well
centered, but it is a nice looking stamp.

Hard to tell with such a small/unclear pic, but the perfs don't look right.
I think 50-60% of cat value is high, but you never know.

Go to www.stampwants.com and search out SOLD #30 auctions and see what people ACTUALLY pay for them.
Don't go by ended auctions that didn't sell, or current sales, only go by what has been bought and paid for.

I checked out of curiosity, but the ones that were sold were much nicer.
One went for $425, but it was centered.

A certified XF90 original gum... PURTY!
Wish the pic was bigger for the money they are asking though.

Perfs look strange to me too. Too coarse. Possibly a perforated proof?

It looks to possibly be perforated 12. Could it be the reprint/reissue, scott 42 (catalogs at $1,400)?

Matt

To me the stamp looks reperforated, but it is not really a sharp enough scan to be sure.
