See how it once looked compared to the digital billboards of today.

At the time the Tower held the record from 1908-1909 at 612feet. Currently the Burj Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is currently the world's tallest man-made structure. As of 26 September 2008, the building, which is still under construction, stood at (2,320 ft). When completed, it is expected to rise over (2,684 ft).

OOOPS! Made a mistake: correction
I looked this building up on line. I live near St. Louis, so I was surprised to find that this building made it to 28 stories (less than shown on the post card)! At the time of it's construction it was the tallest building in Missouri.
Construction was in 1926.

Wow that Bell building is impressive. Somehow it looks taller than 28 stories.

I remember seeing a book one time that showed all the different postcards of Piccadilly Circus in London through time. It's neat to see the evolution of a place or a landmark over time.
