Not that I have room or anything left in my stamp budget but wow this vending machine looks in F-VF shape. What is spmething like this worth other than what someone is willing to pay. Any info on date or other relevant would be interesting.

That certainly looks familiar! Check out this thread I started last year. How much is the one you're looking at?

Every so often I scan ebay listings on various stamp vending machines that may be offered for sale. Although I have no room to store one and no need to ever buy one, it does take you back to the time when these things were commonplace in virtually every convenience store around.

Here's one that I have very little information about but it is certainly an old timer as stamp vending machines go, as it dates back to 1893:

Is any one aware of any stamp machines that are older than that?

This is from a local guy who seems to specialize in advertising signs and simular. He wants $275 so getting those 2 at $25 was a super deal. I seen I on American Restoration and if I recall the guy was charged $300+ to restore it to original but said it would be worth about $1000 when done. Sad thing was the one on the show was really plain and looked like a tampon machine. (No offense to tampons)

In case anyone's wondering about some of the vintage stamp vending machines that refer to "Sanitary" Postage, here's a previous link that provides some period ads to explain the concept back in that day:

Here are a few more pictures of some classic stamp vending machines that I pulled off the internet at various times. The images certainly tell a story and it's surprising just how many different manufacturers had produced them:

This one is said to be an American Adjust-o-Matic:

And a Deluxe National:

And a Vogue:

And a Deval:

I don't want to bore people with these images, so let me know if you want me to post more examples.
