Seems like a perfect stamp to send in to be graded. After all, one does not find a stamp in this condition every day, although it is centered a bit to the left. :-)

Since it was an obvious "joke" listing to begin with, I put in a bid of $5.00 for it. No, I never thought it would be accepted. And, I did get a "Declined" message.

That being said, I wouldn't mind having it but I wouldn't want to spend much on it, just for a test sample. If I could get it cleaned, the mold removed and the spots diminished I would put it and show it in my album, with pride. Actually, I wonder what he would take for it?

Egads... you actually accepted.

Have fun experimenting with it... not much downside if it disintegrates.

I'll get it in the mail Friday or Saturday.

I remember when you originally posted that stamp. All things considered, you got quite a steal on it.

Many of the higher-denomination proprietaries are found repaired/conserved. A stamp like yours would be a prime candidate to use as a host stamp for conservation, and either draw in or attach parts from another (much more faulty) stamp to fill in the void, thus creating a more saleable stamp. You especially find this on the RB9 and RB10.
