Not a watermark
It is the problem faced with Gum!

It reads CYPRUS and has come off another stamp underneath it at some time.

In the future, to help find a watermark on a used stamp, soak off all the old hinges and paper, then press it. Any watermark will be easier to see.

To press it, let it air dry until still slightly damp then place it between blotting paper if possible then in a phone book/yellow pages weighed down with other heavy objects.
