can you tell me perhaps anything about the card with all of the question marks on it and maybe the card with 2 cancels on front
As to the card with the question marks, I have no idea. However, I did a bit of research on the name shown on the back of the card (S. Ruth Haven) who was born in 1884 (which would have made her +/- 17 years old in 1901), so maybe it could have been some kind of a teenage joke back in the day.
Anyway, S. Ruth Haven was the daughter of an area lawyer, George Haven and his wife, Adie (Perkins) Haven. That further suggests that the card as addressed to one Ann Perkins, would have likely been a relative of the sender.
As for the card with the two postmarks, it clearly shows that the first stamp was machine canceled and the postal marking in the upper left corner suggests that an additional 1c postage was due, which was later paid and a stamp and additional postmark applied with the duplex cancel. Remember, back in that day, the forwarding of a postcard as shown would have required an additional 1c postage over and above the first stamp that was used to deliver the card to the written address which was no longer valid.
