I love looking at and studying post cards and covers, figuring things
out, making connections between times, people, and places be they
covers from the U.S. or Germany or post cards from Russia or elsewhere.
Here are a couple of U.S. Official Stamped Envelopes, one from the
Department of Interior Land Office in Minnesota to the Northern
Pacific Railway Co., the other from the U.S. Patent Office. These
show no denomination and are not listed in the Scott U.S. Specialized
Catalogue which states they "lie beyond the scope of this catalogue."
Now why's that? The covers are from 1924 and 1923, respectively.
