Agreed And since it's apparently impossible to find 'back issues' on the USPS website, it's a good idea to hang on the PDFs. KirkS |

Thanks for sharing this! It looks like there will be press sheets with and without die cuts for almost all issues, incl. the Global Forever stamp... But I'm looking forward to the Muscle Cars and Modern Art in America press sheets. Esp the latter will be affordable at $22.08. Once again there will be a 100 stamp coil (Apples) with no strips being made available! |

As for the Muscle Cars Press Sheets, just keep in mind that these will be 36.25" wide -- the largest width Press Sheet produced in recent memory. Unless one has intention of keeping them rolled up for long term storage or cutting them apart into smaller pieces, any effort to mount the entire press sheet in a frame is going to be a problem, as typical off-the-shelf frames are 36" wide, so one will either need to trim the sheet or else pay for custom framing, which can be very expensive. |

Quote: And since it's apparently impossible to find 'back issues' on the USPS website, it's a good idea to hang on the PDFs. Excellent point. In an effort to clear up more space, I've been massively recycling old LSNs, Mekeels, auctions catalogs... I've kept bits here and there, including hanging on to a few USA Philatelics, but I agree having the pdf's really helps. I'd like to recycle some more USA Philatelics if I could get hold of the pdf's. Does anybody have any of the back issue pdf's they'd be willing to email to me? I have a few, but very few. Thanks in advance! |

How far back do people have copies of USA Philatelic? Would people be willing to put up older copies, if I provided web space for people to download them? |

The USPS changed it back to the old version just this AM. My suspicion is that it contained images and ordering information of some stamps that haven't been formally announced by the USPS yet as available for ordering (i.e. Muscle Cars) and all of the stock numbers for Forever stamps were coded to be at the 46-cent postage rate that hasn't yet come into effect.
Because the USPS changes their website faster than most can keep up with, the key is to download the information as soon as it becomes available because one never knows just how long they keep it active. |

My guess is that the Q1 2013 edition of USA Philatelic will return to the USPS website on Monday, January 28, 2013. As I stated earlier, the coding used on items mentioned in that document referred to charging 46-cents for each "Forever" stamp, which would have been cause for confusion if used before the postal rate increase. When the postal rate increase takes effect on Sunday January 27, 2013, the stock numbers referenced in that document become valid. |
