Little rough on the top corner, but certainly a worthy addition of a tough stamp.

As a bonus, on the back appears to be the handstamp of Charles H. Mekeel. A St. Louis stamp dealer during the late 1800s and early 1900s. He used his handstamp to guarantee the authenticity of stamps that he sold.

I have a small collection of mint Private Vending stamps with his handstamp.

kcarmat.. thanks for the explanation of the stamp, I wondered what that was.

I know it is rough around the perfs, but for 10% of CV, I am very happy.

Buff & Beautiful! This seems to be a rather difficult issue to acquire as I've been heartbroken several times in my quest to obtain this beauty! Congrats SV.

the hinge came off quickly with soaking. and some dirt came off as well. Now that it is dry, it looks much, much better.
No issues with the back of the stamp at all. This stamps faults are only on the perfs..
