ha-ha! I'm the same way pjsstamps! I too tend to look at the cancels more than the stamp itself! Great looking blog you have there!

Interesting.
Why don't you edit your original post and change the subject line to "Minnesota Postal History Blog"
You might get more attention. And in the future, when people search SCF for Minnesota, they'll find you.
Just my 2¢

pjsstamps, if you want the cent symbol ( ¢ ), turn the Number lock to "on". While holding the "alt" key press "0162" on the numberpad! That will give you the ¢ symbol!

Peter beat me to it, but there are a few currency symbols I use here.
¢ ALT+155 £ ALT+156 ¥ ALT+157 € ALT+0128

Very nice, Pat! I like the way you personalized the information. The people and the times come alive. As you do, I often forget to look at the stamps and are more likely to see the names and places, cancellations and events, and if the stamp relates to the rest of the cover, then I notice it! Heresy, I know! Also, thanks Stallzer for the ALT code website. I wish I knew about that years ago. My friend, Françoise, will be surprised. Edited to attribute the wesite appropriately. |

Hi Pat, I looked at your blog again today and I couldn't navigate past the Fort Snelling page. Then I got a message that your blog host is no longer in business. Will you move to a new host? Please let us know what happens. I have really enjoyed your blog and I look forward to your next addition. Karen |

Karen, Thanks for the kind words. Are there any Minnesota towns or areas you want to see? I need to put some new stuff up. I think what may have happened is someone posted an ad to my thread which is not allowed as I am just a member and not currently a supporter. The administrator was probably deleting/editing the post at the time you were trying to access. I just tried it from a different computer and it worked for me. I hope blogspot is still in business. Would you please try again and let me know what happened? Pat |
