Historically the parlance for a stamp like this is "mint, hinged" or "mint heavy hinge" or "mint with hinge remnant". But it is mint, since it still has a large part of it's original gum. "Unused" specifically means that the example has no gum. That area may be a thin, or it may be an area where a previous hing removed the gum but not any paper. The stamp would have to be dipped to make sure which it is, although a thin would not be surprising based on the scan.
SasserKlein I'll give you a hint. Place the stamp in your deep freezer for about ten minuets and then carefully remove the hinge. It it starts to tear stop and just cut it off. I personally think the hinge will come right off without even damaging the glue. I've done this many, many, many times before and not even damaged the original glue. break it apart with your fingers. NO TOOLS!!
