i had never really looked hard at my collection. who ever had collected these stamps must of had a good eye for collecting. i do like plate numbers. again it is not always the value of the stamps that I like.
Absolutely my favorite way to collect single. As a matter of fact every one of my singles from the past few years are plate numbers. Great looking stamp.
Nice cover, not only does it have the sending cancels but a great little stamp mark showing recieved in Iowa. Today all you get is a X in the signature box.
Thanks mkfarm, for the background information on US Rubber Co! I like the cover even better now. Some US stamps like this one are hard to find on cover but are still inexpensive when you do find them.
