India paper.......generally found very white and very thin but yielding exceptional detail especially when the images are from engraved plates. When wet it must be handled carefully because it will rip quite easily. It is often used for Essays & Proofs and is generally a higher value item (in part because there are fewer of them printed) a quick look through my Scott cat shows things on India paper valued between $12.00 - well over $1,000.00. I have no experience with ww items on India paper and I have no idea about values, but I would guess that they run about the same.
