I just started collecting again, and I'd like to take a quick poll of what US stamp collectors on this board use. I realize there are personal preferences, and album reviews out there, but I just wanted to get an idea of what typically "serious" collectors use (at least serious enough to read stamp forums). I realize I may miss some popular albums, so if I do, please put which one you use. Also, just use your main (or favorite) US album since it's probably common to multiples. Also, this would only be for single stamps, and not plate blocks or FDCs. Thanks!

I opted for the Davo Hingeless when I decided to take a step up. I am glad I went the hingeless route for my US collection. |

I use a Mystic heirloom but will probably be switching to a Steiner printable album (when I get my CD as the Mystic one has been destroyed from overuse. |

Davo hingless for my US collection, I really wanted a Scott Platinum but went with Davo. Also, Lighthouse binders for other US items. |

I have a Minkus All American but I'm thinking of up-grading to Lindner which is what I use for UN, Germany/Berlin. |

As I collect WW classic era- including U.S., I use the Steiner albums. Just because they are known for their WW coverage doesn't mean that Steiner should be ruled out for U.S. Advantages Inexpensive- one prints out the pages. But one could also select very high quality paper for one's own collection. It follows the modern Scott catalogue with all major numbers represented. If you need a space for the "Z" grill, it is there. |

I voted Mystic Heirloom, but I do have a HE Harris Liberty album from my childhood. I have no intention of relocating stamps from one album to another, but have simply extended my collection by putting all current acquisitions in the new Mystic album. |

Harris Liberty - sort of. I actually make my own pages, but they mirror generally the layout and content of the Liberty.

The Scott Nationals were recommended for my comeback to the hobby. They are just fine in my opinion. HOWEVER, I really don't know if I would like others more so, as I've never seen any comparable.

None of the above... at the moment. I picked up a never-used, older Harris Statesman Deluxe because the price was right on ebay and I figure I can stick the few WW stamps I have in there. I've held off putting any US stamps in the Statesman, though... very seriously considering the Mystic Heirloom set. I really like the idea of having that extra info right there. |

Hi again, I already "voted", but have a question........... Which Album series is considered the best (subjective) and the most expensive (objective)? |
