Collecting only regular issues, commemoratives and airmail to 1988, I would have to throw away too many pages that I purchased. For e.g., with Mystic, airmail is part of "back of the book", so all the rest of those pages in that set would have to go. Hence the problem of buying a new Mystic album. I could just create new pages for 1847-1930 or so, but even that would be a labor of love.
There are actually many software programs to help someone create a new album! But I haven't looked into it yet and don't know what they provide. I don't know what's good or bad out there and would want to get the best one.
I put down Harris Liberty..U.S. stamps are certainly not my main focus so I do not know if I should vote or not..but for my U.S. purposes the Liberty works..it does have spaces for the 1935 special printing line and gutter pairs..so thats good !!
I am in the process of making my own album. I had a old Harris Liberty that the binder fell apart. I have taken out the pages trimmed them a little, put them in glassine sleeves and mounted the stamps using Scott mounts. Then put them in 3 ring binder. I like the way it is coming out.The stamps are well protected. I like just having certain pages, not all of them. I do not like a lot of empty pages. I like the idea of full pages. I do used pages or un-used. Some are easier then others. The Trans-Miss/Pan Am page(un-used) is over half full, but the ones I am missing are top Dollar.
