I don't collect US. I do think 65 is so beautiful and so inexpensive that whenever I see one cheaply priced, I bought it. So, I have a few hundreds of 65 on covers. They are everywhere in the house. Do you see any possible PINK color? (hopeful thinking!)

First off, it would take a much clearer images of both the stamp and it's cancel and done 1 at a time. Even then it would be dicey because of the computer monitor color difference between members screens. There could be but hard to see all those from your pic.

Holy 65's?? batman- What a nice boquet but definatly would need close ups. There does look like some potential in there and then you say theres a couple hundred. I would seperate the obvious rose shades and scan the ones you believe to be leanin more into the pinkish zone. For one that doesn't collect US that is a nice hoard.

On the covers start by looking at the year date. All of the pinks were printed in Aug/Sept 61, so if the color looks pink, but the date is older than the first couple of months of '62, it can't be pink. Good luck, Ray

Ray: Thank you, buddy. That information is very valuable to all who ask the same question.

How about a better scan of the 3c 1851 or '57 in the upper right corner?
