Daryl, Now I understand. The original image is an oblique photo. You can't analyze a stamp very well when the scale of the photo is as screwed up as this one. The scan that you posted is pretty small but I still question the right side, and as Ken S. mentions, the top or bottom looks questionable. I wish I had known the original image was a relatively useless photo and that you had the ability to provide a decent SCAN of the stamp.

Thanks for everyone's help.

As I told the seller, I was okay with the tear and the small thin, I am okay with natural damage, I am just not okay with man made damage.

I sent the stamp back to him today with Cert. Mail. When he gets it, he has agreed to refund my friends and they will just tear up the check I gave them.

All in all, it will be okay.
