That's a tough one to answer. I have a great deal of UN stuff.
Dad loved it and collected it. He got a kick out of writing
away to get UN stamps when he was a kid. I suppose the novelty
of the organization just starting up at that time and his
passion for stamps made it something exciting for him to do
at a young age. So when he got back into stamp collecting, he
worked as feverishly on updating his UN stuff just as the US
side of his collection.

So, short answer is 'Yes', I collect UN by default.
Is it a passion for me? No. If I get a chance
at some nice UN stuff, I would be cautiously interested
just because I know Dad would want to add UN stuff.

Make sense?
I didn't think the 'stamp bug' would bite me after he passed,
so a 'UN bug' is possible I suppose. I just wish I had as much
hope and confidence in the UN as my Dad's generation... I come
from an age and mindset of great contempt for the organization.
It's kinda hard to separate that sort of distrust/dislike of
the UN from a loved hobby. There are several causes and politicians
depicted on US coins/stamps that make collecting them hard...

I have been inspired to take some 'general' photos of
Dad's UN collection and post them in another thread here
in the "Topical" forum. Someone may be able to tell me
if I have anything or not.

When we were trying to sell the collection, a dealer
told us that UN stamps were worthless.
