OH Boy! FDCs Topical Of US States & Anniversaries, Flags, Etc

I've posted in other forums about my FDCs...
But this forum is Tailor made!

I am working on FDCs topical of US states and state related
anniversaries, flags, birds, flowers, founding commems, etc...

Coming along pretty good. I have all the old flag stamps and
bird flower stamps from the 80s. I need to get started on the
2 newer 'states' stamp sets I have seen. I believe one is
'hello from'... ???

I wouldn't expect anyone to scan their whole collection and post it. I know I don't have time for that, not that the thought hasn't crossed my mind. LOL

Heck, I have to schedule time to scan and post images so that my son isn't running circles around me and pushing keys. ROTFLOL

Here's a sample. This is what I have so far for Texas.
The flag stamp, the bird/flower stamp, the centenial
stamp, and the later statehood stamp. I believe there
are 2, more modern, state stamps I need for this one.

I have all 50 of the flags. Then I have 50 bird/flower
silks, but there are slight differences. Texas has a
silk envelope with a DC postmark. Some of my other silks
in this series have a 'fancy' cancel done at the state's
capital. I would like to upgrade the collection to those
'fancy' cancels. Then I have 2 states that have a postcard
silk, vs an envelope. I would like to rectify that too.

I like this album very much! I am glad Dad had so many
of these already in his books. It made for a good head
start on this topical set. I just need to get the very
oldest and very newest. He set me up with the 'basics'
with the 'flag' set, and set me up with some 'glitz' by
having a set of silks.

I'll post some of my recently obtained older state FDCs
tomorrow. I got some called "Fluegal" that are really
flashy for old FDCs. I am really liking that brand of
cover, but they seem to be a little harder to find, and
command a premium. I wonder... Maybe Fluegal made an
FDC for all the state stamps... ??? Hmmmmm...

I guess I don't have to scan them while they are still
on ebay... I am a bit cheezed though. I typed this whole
thing in once already, but this site apparently locked
up, so I lost the whole post and had to retype.
Does this happen to others as well? I have had to retype
posts several times since coming here.


Edit:
On second thought... I'll scan these tomorrow and replace the pics
below. The scanner doesn't do the FDCs justice, especially the
silks, however the scans are 1000% better than these ebay pics!

I like this brand. They are not flashy, but are really
high quality art work.

This is the brand that is a nice mix of art and flash.

Grimsland Tennessee statehood.
I really like this one too. It's not flashy or arty,
but I tend to like flags. It's also a really clean
design, envelope, block of stamps, and even the cancel
is nice and squared up. Just really clean for it's age.

Do you need any Illinois covers? I think I have some duplicates due to my Abe Lincoln obsession? They might be Fleetwood, Fluegal, and what ever else I've come across.

Have you run across any covers with a route 66 reference in the cachet? If so, let me know so I can add a notation to my list.

I got your covers, and you have email.
They are awesome!

I will scan one or two in for anyone interested.
They are Artcraft FDCs from the 1980s that have
state anniversary stamps from that time frame.

The cover art depicts drawings of the state capitol
buildings of each state represented. There are
roughly 7 states represented in the group Dianne
sent to me. Now I just need to find out what
Dianne would like in return!

Dianne doesn't really need anything but if you insist any used WW will suit me just fine
